How much are registration fees?

Football- $150

(All players must participate in league fundraiser or buy out during registration)

Cheer- $220

 What is included in the registration fee? 

Football- Registration, Insurance, Summer Mini Camp, Trophy, and Team Uniform.

What is included in the football uniform? 

Team Jersey, uniform padded pants & helmet decals

Cheer- Registration, Insurance, Summer Mini Camp, Trophy and Team Uniform.

What is included in the cheer uniform? 

Team shell (top), skirt, bloomers, poms, bow, cheer socks, body liner, cheer backpack, pink bow and pink socks. 

 When does mini camp start?

Summer Mini Training Camps are included in registration.

Mini Camp Dates: All dates are tentative and may be changed without notice
June 29th, June 30th, July 1st
July 6th, July 7th, July 8th
July 13th, July 14th, and July 15th

When is the draft?
July 17, 2021

Tryouts & Football Draft- All dates are tentative and may be changed without notice.

When is practice?

-Practice starts the week after draft- Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays; 3 times a week -Full pads after the first week, 
After first 3 games practice goes to 2 times a week.

What football equipment will my child need for the season?

Helmet, shoulder pads, practice football pants with pads, socks, cleats, mouth piece, gloves (optional)

under padding (optional), t-shirt under pads, and practice jersey-

Children will not be allowed to practice without a practice jersey.

Note: For mouth piece please boil for 20 to 30 seconds and mold to child's mouth for optimal comfort.

Can I stand on the sidelines during games?

Only SFL Approved Coaches, Team Moms, and Players are allowed in the boxed area and on the sidelines during game times. All parents and spectators are to be in the stands. If bringing tent and chairs you must stay behind the boxed area. Do not pass 20 yard markers. Officials can call penalties for the sidelines if rules are not followed.

 What happens when there is disorderly conduct?

-If there is vulgar language, obscene gestures, fighting, insubordination from repeated warnings to anyone at the park, or threats, there will be officers on site and you will be ejected or removed from the park immediately.

The officials have the authority to penalize the sidelines for unsportsmanlike conduct or misconduct from coaches, players or parents. There is a ZERO Tolerance for Misconduct at the park.

 How does the draft work?

Tryouts and Draft are set to be held the Saturday following the final week of mini camp towards end of July. 

If your child is a returning player to the same division and registered before the draft date then he/she will automatically return to the previous team played on before draft begins.  If he/she is registered after draft he/she will be a hat pick. 

NEW REGISTRANTS- Your child must attend tryouts to be drafted to a team, if they do not attend tryouts he/she will be a hat pick.

 What teams are at SFL? 

-We have 4 divisions for Tackle Football. (5-6yr) Freshman, (7-8yr) Sophomore, (9-10yr) Junior Varsity, (11-12yr) Varsity.  Minimum of two teams per division. SFL invites outside teams to participate throughout the season. 

Cheer has one team per franchise. Example: If SFL has three franchises such as the Texans, Cowboys, and Ravens throughout the different divisions- Cheer will have 3 teams- Texans, Cowboys, and Ravens that will alternate games weekly to accommodate the divisions in their franchise.

How do I register?

-Registration is online.

Register right from home on your computer or any smart device with internet access.

You can pay online by credit card during registration.

*Children, volunteers and coaches for football and cheer must be registered through the website for registration requirements and insurance coverage.

 How can I become a Volunteer at SFL?

Sheldon Football League is completely operated by our amazing volunteers.

From the executive board members to the scoreboard operators during games; We are always in need of outstanding volunteers for board members, football and cheer coaches, team moms, cheer moms, and floater volunteers that just want to help where and when they can.


*Coaches are required to be USA Football Certified and must be SFL Board approved. 

Volunteer Registration is just as simple as registering a player- just select Volunteer.
